Prejudice Bullying

Can you imagine what it would be like if everyone and everything looked the same? It would be very boring and we would not be able to learn about different cultures, different places, different beliefs, different types of music and different hobbies. It would be hard to find your best friend if we all looked the same so we love it that everyone is different so we can learn new things.

Homophobic Bullying

Have you heard anyone use the word ‘gay’ around school? When they use the word ‘gay’ it is often said in a negative way, for example if two boys are playing football and one boy says to the other “Your football boots are gay” this is using the word gay in a negative and offensive way and is offensive to the gay community.

Racial Bullying

We are all different and if you look at your friends in school they will look different from you. Your friends may have different coloured skin, a different accent, different religion or beliefs and because we are all different we can learn new things from each other. If you make fun of someone because of their skin colour, accent or religion it can be seen as racism and this is against the law.

Disability Bullying

When you think of the word disability what do you think of? Do you think of wheelchairs? This is because a wheelchair  makes us notice the person has a disability however there are other disabilities that we cannot see that affect people on a daily basis. Some people have a disability that can affect them learning or making friends. They may not see or hear how you do, we should not treat people with disabilities differently.

We should always treat people how we would like to be treated ourselves.
