Sefton
CIIr Peter Dowd, Executive Member for Children, Schools and
Families: "The Bully Buster campaign provides a confidential
service for children and parents who have any issues about
bullying.
"Our pupils can get the number from posters in their schools and it
is also heavily featured in the Echo. Projects like this really
help to support the work we do in Sefton."
Bryn Marsh, Strategic Director for Children, Schools and Families:
"The helpline for children who are worried about bullies enables us
to give confidential advice and support while looking at how to
handle the situation in a supportive way.
"It is the first regional phone service of its kind in the country
and we are happy to be a part of it. The free-phone number is well
publicised and is an excellent way of starting to address problems
which a child is initially reluctant to take to an adult."
