CIIr Paul Clein, Executive Member for Education: "One of the keys
to education is building up and sustaining the self confidence of
learners.
"Bullying can fatally undermine that and we need to keep the
pressure up to get the anti-bullying message across to every school
because, regrettably, a small minority of schools still don't take
this seriously enough.
Colin Hilton, Director of Education: "Bullying is unacceptable in
all circumstances and I am pleased to see that our partnership with
the Liverpool Echo and other local authorities is having a positive
impact. I welcome this initiative because it provides another
source of support for those who face bullying and intimidation and
sends out a consistent, clear message that such behaviour is
unacceptable.
"Bully Busters has been developed in consultation with all
Merseyside LEAs and is backed by our full resources."
