Knowsley
CIIr Larry Nolan, Cabinet Member for Education: "The fact that this
is a regional campaign will hopefully add real impact.
"Bullying is an issue that all caring people would hope to see
completely disappear from our schools and playgrounds.
"Youngsters should be able to develop their education in a safe and
secure environment. I am confident that a campaign such as this
will help to reduce the incidence of bullying through awareness and
the sharing of ideas."
Steve Munby, Director of Education and Lifelong Learning: "We
strongly support this regional campaign that is raising the
awareness of this very serious issue.
"Knowsley already has a range of strategies which are showing
effective results and we have recently launched a borough-wide
antibullying policy.
"We are determined to face bullying head on and provide as much
support as we can to schools, pupils and parents. We are behind
this important campaign 100% along with our other partners and
agencies."
