Halton
CIIr Allan Massey, Executive Board Member for Education and
Lifelong Learning: "Halton was
keen to be part of Bully Busters because working with all the
Greater Merseyside authorities
ensures a higher profile for reducing bullying than would be
possible if we were tackling it alone.
"We take this issue very seriously and are committed to providing
as much support as we can.
"The Bully Busters scheme is a success and we would encourage any
young person concerned about bullying to use the helpline."
Graham Talbot, Executive Director for Education and Social
Inclusion: "This is one of a number of strategies we have for
combating any bullying there may be and we welcome the Liverpool
ECHO's initiative because of its wide circulation and the
involvement of all the local authorities.
"We are constantly looking for new ways of tackling bullying which
is very distressing for the individual concerned and this scheme is
a welcome addition to that."
