do you think that is better to ignore a bully or to say something back to them? it is very difficult because you try not to antagonise them, but if you ignore them, do they think they've won?

i always try to ignore it, but i don't know if it is working.

if ignoring doesn't work them stand up for yourself, but WITHOUT BECONMING A BULLY yourself, otherwise you will be just them same as them, even if they do deserve. just say to them with a smile on your face and your back straight that you aint gonna take this any more!
