Are you being bullied?

What can you do?

Don’t suffer in Silence; you do have someone you can talk to, here at BullyBusters you can phone us just to let us know what your day was like. We are open from 9.00am - 7.00pm Monday to Friday,. Talking allows you to get things off your chest and we can give you helpful tips to stop people from being hurt. REMEMBER it is not your fault; it is the person who is bullying you who has the problem, not you.

Practise your body language; We know it is hard, especially if you are feeling low, but by standing up straight with your shoulders back and your head up and a smile from ear to ear shows you are confident. Bullies will think twice before picking on confident people. Use your voice and look people in the eye when you are talking to them. Be assertive but not aggressive.

Remove yourself from the situation as soon as you can, don’t stand there and let them upset you, try walking away and  then write it down and report it.,

What not to do?

Hit back; If you hit back you are just as bad as them and it makes things worse, imagine hitting them back and causing them great harm or even worse they come back at you twice as hard.

Ignore them; it is really hard to ignore someone when they are being nasty to you, they will not go away just because you pretend it isn’t happening.
